Youth Promise Program Overview

Youth Promise is a state-recognized preventative education program designed to equip 5th-grade students with the knowledge and skills to make positive life choices. Developed in partnership with the Waterford Police Department, this data-driven program works in tandem with Waterford Public Schools to address key issues facing today’s youth. Lessons are tailored to reflect the real challenges students encounter, ensuring they receive relevant, impactful education on topics such as decision-making, social media, and mental health.

Beyond Waterford, Youth Promise has served as a model for other communities across the state, helping them develop their own versions of the program. By sharing resources, best practices, and training, we are committed to expanding the reach of this initiative and fostering positive change for youth statewide.
