Maple syrup, maple scented candles, maple product gift baskets, maple sugar, and gourmet maple coffee await you at Parker's Maple Barn in Mason, NH. Upon arrival, enjoy the “Parker’s Original Sugar Party Brunch,” featuring scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, a slab of maple ham, a plain pancake, a blueberry pancake, and real maple syrup, with coffee or tea. Bring your appetite. Following brunch, a staff member will lead a tour of the Sugar House, where you will learn about the sugaring process and see how maple sugar is made. Spend some time in the Corner Crib Gift Shop, where you will find local country crafts, dozens of jams, jellies, scented candles, herbal teas, greeting cards, and a grand candy and toy section.

Discover the hidden history of one of Massachusetts’ most remarkable landmarks on the “Stories Beneath the Surface” trolley tour of the Quabbin Reservoir. Once home to four thriving towns, this vast and scenic body of water was created in the 1930s to supply drinking water to the Boston area, forever changing the lives of thousands. Explore the Quabbin Reservoir on a vintage trolley tour and learn about the four towns that were lost and the people affected by this massive project, all while enjoying beautiful views and expert narration from a local guide. Please note that the vintage trolley is not wheelchair accessible, and there are three steps to board, the first of which may be steep.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Steaming Tender Restaurant, a historic restored restaurant located inside the 19th century downtown Palmer Railroad Station. This one of a kind dining destination is full of charm, with train and railroad memorabilia covering the walls, 30 foot high ceilings, and wood design throughout the large rustic main dining room. Menu includes garden salad, choice of chicken pot pie, homemade meatloaf, or haddock Florentine, vegetables, bread pudding, and coffee or soft drinks. Entrée choice required in advance.

The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) has dedicated itself to providing the finest culinary training in the world for over 80 years. Located in Hyde Park, NY, the CIA has a student body of more than 1,900 students representing every state and many foreign countries. Go behind the scenes of the CIA and get an inside look into the world of food. Participate in an interactive demonstration exploring the science of taste, and tour Roth Hall, the building where culinary magic happens. If you love food and want to learn about the mystique of the world-famous CIA, you will love this experience.
Enjoy a full course luncheon at the Caterina de Medici Restaurant, featuring authentic regional Italian cuisine prepared by CIA students under the instruction of world-class faculty. The restaurant offers a sophisticated dining room overlooking a stunning herb and rose garden. There will also be time to explore the CIA gift shop and bakery before heading home.
A preset menu includes appetizer, entrée, and dessert. The menu will be available in mid-December. Please advise of any food allergies at registration.

We are headed to the New York Botanical Garden, set on 250 rolling acres in the Bronx. This beautiful destination charms lovers of nature with stunning gardens and the famed Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, modeled after London’s Crystal Palace. The special exhibit, Flower Power, celebrates peace, love, and flowers, bringing the spirit of the 1960s to life through colorful installations, symbolic art, and botanical beauty.
All-Garden Pass admission includes access to the garden grounds, the hop-on, hop-off tram tour to explore the gardens, entry to the Conservatory, entry to the Mertz Library, and more. Enjoy lunch on your own at the café and spend time browsing the beautiful Garden Shop. There will also be time to stroll Arthur Avenue in the Bronx to shop for pastries, pasta, and other Italian specialties.
