Library Card Application

  1. To renew your library card, please bring your current Waterford Public Library card and proof of residency to the Circulation Desk. If you have questions about renewing your library card, please call us at 860-444-5805, ext. 4.

To obtain a Waterford Public Library card, you must:

    • Be a Waterford or Quaker Hill resident or tax-payer.
    • Be able to show proof of residency (street address). A driver's license is the preferred form of identification.
    • Children aged 12 and under must have a parent/guardian fill in their name below as the responsible adult.

Note: Non-residents may use the Waterford Public Library according to the BorrowIT statewide reciprocal borrowing program. Non-residents regardless of their age must bring with them a valid and up-to-date library card from the public library serving the town in which they reside.

Waterford educators may apply for a library card separate from their personal home library card to check out materials for classroom use. Items checked out on an educator account are not exempt from fines and the cardholder is fiscally responsible for overdue, lost or damaged items. Proof of employment at a public or private Waterford school is required.

  2. By providing my e-mail address I agree to receive all Library notices via e-mail. By submitting this application, I assume responsibility for materials charged out to my card and any fines or fees incurred. I will notify the Library immediately of any change of address or telephone number.
