  • Dogs are not allowed at Waterford Beach waterfront from Memorial Day through Mid-September. They are allowed in other parts of the park. Please leash and clean-up after your pets. Please note: Pets ARE NOT allowed at the Summer Concerts unless designated as a service animal.

  • You can come to the Community Center, starting in May, from 8 am to 3:30 pm to purchase beach stickers. A current car registration is required for each vehicle requesting a sticker. If you cannot locate your car registration, details can be downloaded from the DMV website, we cannot take the information off of a phone/tablet.

    Form of payment can be cash, check, or credit card. Thank you.

    Resident fees: 1st car is $25 each additional car in the same family and household is $11 each. You must have a registration for each vehicle. If your registration does not have your Waterford address on it, please bring a current tax bill or current monthly utility bill, plus the registration.

    Waterford Senior Citizens (65 and older) wishing to get a beach sticker need a current car registration and pay $11. You have the option of showing your drivers license at the gatehouse for free access or the convenience of the sticker for $11.

    Out-of-town residents need a current car registration for each vehicle you wish to purchase a sticker for and the cost is $175 per vehicle.

    Wristbands for walkers and bike riders are $2 for residents and $10 for out-of-town. Proof of residency is required.

    On the Waterford Recreation and Parks Department page, you will find Online Registration in the left-hand column. The next screen will bring you to RecDesk where you will select "Memberships" and then choose the appropriate beach sticker. If this is your first time using the system, you will need to set up a household in the system. Once the household is set up, you can continue to register for programming and other passes as interested. Forms will need to be uploaded digitally in order to use the online system. Use your receipt for entrance to the gatehouse until you get your sticker.

    You can make a photocopy of your registration and mail it to: Waterford Recreation and Parks, 15 Rope Ferry Road, Waterford, Court checks are made out to the Town of Waterford. Please remember registration is required for each vehicle.

  • Rules and regulations of the Waterford dog park, Stenger Farm Park, Clark Lane.

    Enjoy your stay!! Thank you for following the rules.

    • The owner of any dog is solely liable for damages or injuries suffered by anyone who is bitten or injured by the dog on the Town premises.
    • Puppies and dogs must be properly licensed, inoculated and healthy.
    • Your dog must be properly vaccinated and wear a collar with current license and rabies tags.
    • Owners must clean up after their dogs.
    • Dogs showing aggression toward people or other animals must leave the Dog Park. Animals who exhibit a history of aggressive behavior will not be permitted to enter.
    • Puppies using the Dog Park must be at least four months old.
    • Owners should not leave their dog unattended or allowed out of sight.
    • Dogs must respond to owner either with verbal commands or hand signals.
    • All dogs must be spayed or neutered.
    • Owners must carry a leash at all times. Dogs should be leashed before entering and prior to leaving the Dog Park; no more than three dogs per owner.
    • Children under the age of sixteen (16) must be with an adult at all times. No children under the age of five are allowed in the Dog Park.
    • All other Town of Waterford Park Rules apply (i.e. no alcoholic beverages, no glass containers, etc.).
    • No food allowed inside the fence.
    • Hours of operation 9 am to sunset.

    Dog Park is closed during inclement weather. Please notify the Recreation and Parks Department at 860-444-5881 if you notice broken equipment or anything that requires immediate attention. Violators will be subject to removal from the dog park and suspension of dog park privileges.

    Call 911 for any emergencies. If you need to contact the Police for a non-emergency, call 860-442-9451.
