[ARCHIVED] CT Author Book Talk with Mary Jane Ruffo

Sea Glass Beach LibCal

THIS SATURDAY January 17 at 2:00 pm author Mary Jane Ruffo joins us to talk about her new book Sea Glass Beach: a promise of hope:

A tragic accident. A choice to make. A tender, heart-warming love story of faith, hope, and second chances.  After seven blissful years of marriage, Miranda Roberts abruptly becomes a widow following a tragic accident. Her world is shattered. With her faith shaken, she has lost all hope. Despite the support of her sister and members of a bereavement group, Miranda closes her heart, choosing to live in the past rather than take the necessary, difficult steps to move forward. While waiting for her new home to be built, Miranda enters into an unwritten contract with Josh Turner, the kind, handsome owner of The Beach Rose Inn on Sisters Island. In exchange for room and board, she agrees to help Josh with redecorating and the daily operations of the inn. Josh suppresses his romantic feelings for Miranda, patiently waiting for her to return his affection. Miranda’s resolve to remain devoted only to her deceased husband wanes as her heart begins to soften toward Josh and his delightful daughter, Ellie. When her new home is completed, Miranda must make a choice. Will she return to the mainland and remain a prisoner of the past, or will she hold onto hope, follow God’s plan, and risk a second chance at love?

Registration is suggested.  Books will be available for sale.
