The Waterford Public Library’s new propagation station launches today! The propagation station is open to everyone in the community, and you do not need a library card to participate. Visit the station to donate, swap, or adopt plant cuttings!   We're having a plant propagation workshop on Thursday, February 13 , at 10:30 am.  Call to register.

Please see instructions below for donating and adopting:

Donating - Choose an empty jar and add some water. If there is not an empty jar available, please see the Information Desk. In the guestbook, and on the provided tags, please write the date and the name of the plant you're donating, and then attach the tag to the jar. 

Adopting - Choose any plant cutting that's on display to adopt. Then in the guestbook, please write the date and the name of the plant you’re adopting. To transport, spray a paper towel or two to moisten, wrap the clipping in the paper towel, and place in a plastic bag.

Please note: 

• The Library cannot accept whole plant donations in pots of dirt at this time.

• The Library is no longer accepting any donations of glass jars for the station.
